Ryan Shubin // PRINCIPAL
Ryan Shubin, a principal at Land Morphology and a Seattle native, brings over 18 years of experience in landscape architecture from North America to Asia. As an award-winning landscape architect, he has worked on diverse projects, from private gardens and urban plazas to waterfront parks and large-scale hydrologic master plans. His notable works include designing a 62-hectare Singapore National Garden and extending the Singapore Botanic Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Ryan excels in creating landscapes that enhance human experiences while integrating ecological and hydrological systems, emphasizing site materiality, native vegetation, and sustainable design strategies. His international portfolio spans Singapore, the UAE, Chile, India, and China, reflecting his dedication to innovative design solutions harmonizing with natural and cultural contexts. Ryan has taught design studios at the bachelor's and master’s levels and has published writings on urban parks, biophilic spaces, and flood-resilient landscapes.
